NORVAL MORRISSEAU
1932 - 2007

This piece of work depicts a child in the arms of their grandparent. A painting that provides a narrative, it tells the story of his childhood as a young boy growing up in his grandparents’ home. His use of vivid yet natural colours remembers the natural and spiritual teachings of his shaman grandfather. The backdrop of a dominant green provides a calming effect.
