In Les Trois Papillons, the womans rigid stare contrasts with the rest of her soft beauty. The butterflies surrounding her are abstract in comparison to the rest of the painting, but does not take away any of the gentleness portrayed to the viewer. In fact, the butterflies add to the organic waves of the womans hair. The colour contrasts are very obvious, but not too harsh. Les trios Papillons is another example of Ginettes ability to portray the softness and kindness of women.
