ALEXANDER YOUNG JACKSON
1882 - 1974
Oil on Canvas | 26" x 32"
$175,000
In this painting Jackson uses his distinct signature, using a vivid and almost pastel palette, to create life and give depth of field to this small road in Gatineau Quebec. With the only attempt at detail given to the foreground, he uses contrast in colours and vertical and horizontal shapes to give dimension and perspective to the burgeoning land in the distance.
