In this piece, Casson employs his signature use of clear colours to create a bold style. The trees that erupt from the ground are emaciated. Standing behind the tree stumps, they are yet another element of the piece that represents the unfortunate affair that is the destruction of nature. Highly texturized, his rough brushstrokes convey anger towards the issue, creating a very passionate piece.
